Orchard launches Resident Involvement and Campaign Management
Press Release
Orchard is proud to announce the launch of its new fully integrated solution for Resident Involvement and Campaign Management. Building on the solid foundations of its Orchard Housing solution and developed entirely using its own workflow and database tools, the new solution is the culmination of a six-month partnership with three top Registered Providers: Aspire Housing, Coast and Country Housing and South Liverpool Homes. Working with the partners’ key business users in an agile development project, Orchard has created a comprehensive management suite for the complex and changing field of Resident Involvement and Tenant Participation.
The ground-breaking solution provides a sophisticated yet flexible information framework supported by intuitive functionality for areas such as activity tracking, event management, surveys, risk assessments, impact assessments, costing and budgets. For the first time all of these elements are fully integrated into the same system and into the housing management system, enabling practitioners to record detailed information about activities, relate it to the organisation as a whole and critically to understand and report on the impact of Resident Involvement on corporate strategic aims.
Orchard’s Product Manager Aidan Dunphy explains: “In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever before that Registered Providers engage closely with their customers to help to improve services while reducing costs. Time and again however, we have heard RI practitioners complain that using standalone systems they find it difficult to record information and produce reports, and that their information cannot be linked to corporate databases such as the housing management system. We have responded by building upon the organisation’s existing information architecture and by utilising consumer-friendly IT such as SMS and web portals.”
Aidan continues, “The Government has recently signalled that its ‘Big Society’ campaign is not going to go away, and Orchard believes that the boundary of responsibility between Registered Providers and residents will become increasingly blurred. Providers must be ready to engage with residents using the technology and communication channels that are fast becoming the norm for Britain’s households. The new Orchard RI solution provides the means by which this can be achieved quickly and easily.”
